A hallmark of PBIS is the use of an integrated evaluation process for making data-based decisions. The PBIS evaluation processes serve to promote data-based decision-making for schools and districts at Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III levels of support. In turn, this data also supports your development of a training and technical assistance plan with your coaches and other service providers.

SWIS USERS: Please note this update happening effective 6/4/18:

"We are changing the way in which we calculate In-School Suspension (ISS) and Out-of-School Suspension counts in PBIS Evaluation.

Beginning in the 2013-14 school year we added functionality to the School-Wide Information System (SWIS) to allow for multiple Action Taken fields in addition to the Primary Action Taken. Until now, we have looked to the Primary Action Takenfield only when counting total ISS/OSS events. Going forward we will calculate all ISS/OSS events, regardless of whether they are listed as primary and are retroactively adding these counts to previous school years as of tomorrow, June 7, 2018.

This update will only affect schools that enabled multiple action taken fields in SWIS (off by default) AND entered ISS and/or OSS actions as a non-primary action taken. It does not affect reports in SWIS since all action taken fields are counted.

Although we still recommend that the most severe consequence is listed as the Primary Action Taken, PBIS Evaluation summary data should include all OSS/ISS events regardless of SWIS primary or non-primary designation. We anticipate these cases to be small and not affect your data in a meaningful way but encourage you to run these reports again for previous years if you are still using that data for decision making.

PBISApps holds the integrity of your data in the highest regard and welcome any questions you might have regarding your ISS/OSS data."
