Training of Trainers

For the 2020-21 School Year, we are excited to again offer Training of Trainers (TOT) option through the Midwest PBIS Network. 

For those interested in becoming a PBIS Trainer through the Midwest PBIS Network, you are being asked to submit an online application by July 1, 2021 to begin the process. This application will ask you to provide some basic information about your experience with PBIS, as well as give you the opportunity to write about your interest in becoming a trainer. 

Important Information

The cost of the TOT is $1800/person for the 2021-22 School Year, and will allow you access to all virtual training series and/or in-person institutes that Midwest PBIS offers this school year. 

You will be required to attend Virtual Tier I Training (for initial training) and at least one additional Institute (for co-training). Initial Tier 1/ Tier 2 Training will be held:
  • Summer: August 3, 4, 5, 2021
Before you proceed with submitting an application, please remember that by becoming a Tier I Trainer you are committing to the following:
  1. Participate in 1 readiness webinar
  2. Participate in 3 days of Tier 1/Tier 2 Team Training (12 hours during Summer Virtual Cohort Training)
  3. Participate in monthly follow up TOT webinars for content fluency,
  4. Participate in ongoing Community of Practice webinars with fellow TOT participants
  5. Participate in individualized planning webinar prior to co-training
  6. Participation/co-training in one additional Institute Tier 1/Tier 2 team training (winter, or summer 2022)
  7. Participate in webinars in spring 2022 for coaching and evaluation fluency
  8. Assessment/evaluation of Training experience,
  9. Create a concrete action plan for training in district.
You should expect to hear from a Midwest PBIS Network staff member soon after June 18th for further directions and details about payment.

Helpful Hints Before you Begin

  • Submit this application online no later than Monday, June 18, 2021.
  • Set aside 30-60 minutes for this application so that you can provide thoughtful responses. 
  • There are questions that require "paragraph" style answers. We strongly recommend you have a program like Microsoft Word or Notepad open on your computer alongside your application, so that you can spellcheck and edit via those helpful tools offered in the program. Then, copy and paste your reply into the application field.
  • Once the application has been submitted electronically, you can exit the web application. Wait for the confirmation message before you exit the application.
  • This is the only application (online) and there are no further steps to the process at this time. You will not submit payment with this Application. Further details about payment will be provided in the weeks after the application deadline.
