    The Midwest PBIS Network is excited to announce our Spring Training Institute, April 26th through April 28th, 2017, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. One-day sessions are on the 1st day, and two-day sessions are on the 2nd and 3rd days.  School teams can participate in all three days of training as well. Choose from the following content areas:

    Wednesday, April 26th (1-Day Sessions)

                                                            Coaches Forum

    • This one day event (taking place at the same time as the following sessions) will give coaches and other leaders (i.e. administrators) the opportunity to network and learn from other coaches. The day will include a large group opening, and then breakout sessions which will allow participants to choose topics of interest. District coaches with all ranges of experience level are encouraged to participate. All three tiers will be discussed as well as exemplar coaching presentations from district exemplars.     • Tier I Leadership
    This session will prepare school principals and school-based coaches to lead their school through the planning, implementation, and evaluation of PBIS, and prepare for the full Tier 1 Team Training. Click here for complete description and downloadable materials.

    • Bullying Prevention

      In this session, participants will learn how to give students the tools to extinguish bullying behaviors through the blending of School-Wide Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports, explicit instruction, and redefinition of the bullying construct.     Thursday, April 27th - Friday, April 28th (2-Day Sessions)
    • Tier I Team Training*

    This session will establish systems, data use, and practices at the Tier I level. School teams will learn and action plan around implementation of the core features of Tier I PBIS, including: leadership team composition and operating procedures; defining, teaching, and acknowledging behavioral expectations; classroom procedures; involving faculty, students, and families; data-based decision making; and monitoring for fidelity of implementation. Implementing Tier I with fidelity is associated with a strong increase in the pro-social culture and climate of the building, and a decrease in office discipline referrals and other negative behaviors.

    * Tier I Team training is for full school teams including the building administrator, a designated school-based PBIS coach, and typically four to six additional Tier I team members (faculty, staff representatives; family representatives; clinical staff, etc.).  District-based PBIS coaches are also encouraged to participate with school teams. 

    • Tier II Team Training 
    This session will help schools develop the capacity for an effective and efficient continuum of foundational Tier II supports (including Check-In Check-Out (CICO), Social Academic Instructional Groups (SAIG), CICO w/ind. features, and Mentoring).  Schools will be supported in the establishment of a Secondary Systems Planning Team, learn how to use Universal data to target groups of students in need of Tier II support and assess the fidelity of these interventions. Click here for complete description and downloadable materials.

    • Classroom Management

    This session will provide coaches, administrators, team members, and other classroom management leads the professional learning necessary to begin to implement 8 identified classroom management practices/components in a systemic, efficient, and effective way. This is a train the trainer model so participants will learn the content, practice training, and making the commitment to train the components at their school/district.  Click here for complete description and downloadable materials.

    • Wraparound

    This session will provide an overview of the systems, data, and practices of the wraparound process as a Tier III/Tertiary Level Intervention.  Primary focus will be on increasing implementers' knowledge and fluency with the wraparound process.  Additionally, development of individual teams and strength-based plans tailored to the comprehensive need of each student/family will be included.  Emphasis will be given to the intensive, comprehensive wraparound process of supporting and planning for the "whole child" & "whole family."  Click here for complete description and downloadable materials. 

    These trainings will be in different rooms at the same location.  Consider sending multiple staff members to participate in each of the content areas.

    All fees are due on or before the first day of the training. We accept credit cards, checks, money orders, and purchase orders.  All payments must be in US dollars and should be made payable to SASED - Midwest PBIS.  Please submit your check or money order to the address below.

      Purchase Order Requirements:

    • Make sure all staff have registered online prior to submitting your Purchase Order (PO).  We are not able to enter registrations from a PO.
    • Be sure to include the training name, date, and the names of all registrants on your PO and submit it via email to support@midwestpbis.org.  Please note, we do not have a fax number and must receive PO's via email.

    Invoices: 

    Invoices are automatically generated by our registration system at the conclusion of the registration process and may be displayed, downloaded, printed, or shared via email by clicking the "Invoice" button after your registration has been submitted.  Please make sure you submit the invoice to your business office for payment.  No copies of your invoice will be sent via email or US mail.  Billing information collected during registration will be used to send balance due statements on unpaid registrations only.

    Invoices may be accessed at any time after registration by clicking the link in your registration confirmation email.  When accessing from the confirmation email, you will be required to enter your confirmation number.
      

    Credit Card Payments: 

    You may pay your registration fees by credit card when you register using our online registration system. If you would like to pay by credit card after your registration has been completed, download and complete the Credit Card Authorization form. Email your completed form to support@midwestpbis.org.

    Important note about credit card payments: your payment will appear on your credit card statement as "Midwest PBIS Network."

    Cancellation Policy: 

    Cancellations received in writing via email (support@midwestpbis.org) by April 14, 2017, will be refunded minus a 5% registration service charge to cover non-refundable expenses to the Midwest PBIS Network. Please note that if you do not cancel and do not attend, you are still responsible for full payment of your registration fee. Substitutions may be made at any time.
