Trauma Training of Trainer (TOT)
Building the Capacity of your Staff

This three-day training is designed for district and/or school teams. Teams will return with an increased understanding of what it means to maintain a trauma-informed lens in the school setting and a plan of how to continuously build the capacity of their staff.

By the end of this training series, teams will be able to:
  • Discuss the key components of trauma/chronic stress and how they impact brain development, learning, and classroom performance
  • Assess current school-wide and classroom practices and develop action plans to enhance practices to include a trauma-informed lens
  • Provide training to district/school staff and ongoing coaching for sustainable implementation of trauma- informed lens
An expectation of this training is that teams will have time scheduled with district and/or school staff to provide professional development between training days.
Target Audience:
District or school-based teams which include an administrator, school-based clinician(s), and teacher leaders representative of school. Other team members might include school nurse and others with behavioral expertise.

Looking for Trauma Training, without your team?
  • Consider attending a Trauma session at one of our upcoming Training Institutes!
  • Geared toward individuals rather than teams, you will spend less time on creating professional development plans and coaching skills, but still have the opportunity for practice in taking back main messages of trauma to school.
