Summary of How To Update Data for MWPBIS Goals
*updated July 2017*

In general, we consider implementation data for activity-- in either systems used or trainings attended-- for the past 2 school years.
I. Implementing Schools: (COMPLETE,JN)
Increase the number of Illinois schools implementing PBIS
  • Implementing is defined as participation in one of the following: MW Trainings, self-assessing online through PBIS Assessments, SWIS account user. (Schools who only attend Coaches Networking Meetings we consider self-identified implementer and mark as such as a Tag in Solve, but do not include in our counts to UO/National).
  • MW Training - attendee data is generated from eReg, analyzed to make sure each attendee has a school or district affiliation, then imported into Solve. Schools are then marked in their Solve Company record, as actively implementing.
  • PBIS Assessments - PBIS Eval exports are used to obtain school names who are using PBIS Assessments to self-assess via TFI, TIC, SAS, SET, and BoQ. The export file is used in an Access Query to identify which schools in our Solve DB are self-assessing, and are then marked as actively implementing in Solve. (Note: we only house latest TFI scores, not other assessment scores.)
  • SWIS - PBIS Eval also exports SWIS users. Similarly, this SWIS user list is then used in an Access Query to identify which schools in our Solve DB are SWIS Users, and are then marked as actively implementing in Solve.
NOTE: There are several special cases where we "count" a school or program that is not recognized by ISBE. We consider them implementing because they are using data systems and/or attending MW Trainings and have unique data not already being "counted" under a formal ISBE school.

II. Coaches (COMPLETE,JN)
A. Increase the percent of PBIS implementing schools with identified school-based coaching
  • Using eReg attendance information, registrants self-identify as a Coach for their school (where applicable). This information is imported into Solve DB, and then counted in conjunction with implementing schools.
B. Increase the number of PBIS coaches participating in coaches networking meetings
  • Using eReg attendance information, registrants self-identify as a Coach for their school (where applicable). This information is imported into Solve DB, and then counted in conjunction with implementing schools and/or CNM attendance.
C. Increase the number of LEA's participating in coaches networking meetings
  • Using eReg attendance information, registrants self-identify as a Coach for their school or LEA (where applicable). This information is imported into Solve DB, and then counted as a participating LEA based on the Coach's attendance at the CNM.

V. Building Capacity
Identify and apply for 3 new funding sources for expanding ISF, RENEW, or RJP in Illinois
III. Fidelity (COMPLETE,JN)
A. Increase the number of Illinois schools self-assessing with the TFI
  • TFI information is generated from PBIS Eval, and imported into Solve. Schools are counted if they completed the TFI at least once during the past school year.
B. Increase the number of Illinois schools at 70% Tier I fidelity
  • Generated from PBIS Eval, schools scale scores need to be at 70%+ at TI to be counted at fidelity.
C. Increase the number of Illinois schools at 80% Tier II fidelity
  • Generated from PBIS Eval, schools scale score needs to be at 80%+ at TII to be counted at fidelity.
D. Increase the number of Illinois schools at 80% Tier III fidelity
  • Generated from PBIS Eval, schools scale score needs to be at 80%+ at TIII to be counted at fidelity.
E. Increase the fidelity of implementation in High Schools* proportionate to Elementary* and Middle Schools* in Illinois
  • *National PBIS/UO categorizes grade levels as follows:
    • High = 7 - 12, must include one grade between 10 and 12
    • Elementary = PreK - 6, must include grade 1
    • Middle/JrHS = 4-9
NOTE: When no grade level is assigned to the entity's UO Eval account, we use ISBE's "Public School Type" category.
  • Fidelity is defined through III B,C, & D above.

IV. Recognition (COMPLETE,JN)
A. Increase the total # schools recognized for PBIS implementation
  • Total # of schools is gathered from the number of applications submitted via our online application (Survey Monkey). Duplicate applications for individual schools are removed from this total number.
B. Increase the number of Illinois schools recognized for implementation at Gold Level
  • Gold level implementers are recognized based on criteria published on our website. One of the main components of Gold implementers, is their student enrollment/success for at least one Advanced Tier intervention (either TII or TIII).
C. Increase the number of Illinois schools recognized for implementation at Platinum Level
  • Platinum level implementers are recognized based on criteria published on our website. One of the main components of Platinum implementers, is their student enrollment/success for both TII and TIII interventions. The other unique requirement for Platinum implementers is their multi-year academic summary statement.
